About this event

Scotland Europa , Scottish Enterprise in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University are delighted to invite you to the ‘Shaping Horizons:2021-2027' consultation and strategic planning workshop for Horizon Europe, the next EU research and innovation framework programme.

This workshop will provide a unique insight into the emerging shape of ‘Horizon Europe’ and an understanding of the changes which are being proposed in this, the next framework programme.

The workshop will also provide a forum to provide feedback directly to the European Commission about the programmes final design while also contributing to a Scottish response to the upcoming consultations. These will include recommendations on the missions, partnerships and international engagement.

The workshop will be of interest to:

Scottish businesses, academia, public and third sector organisations that have an interest in research and Innovation and the European Framework programme.

Why get involved

Scottish experience within the European Research and Innovation Programmes is extensive. As a result, we are well placed to contribute to the improvements to the next programme ‘Horizon Europe’.

Participation in this workshop and the consultation process will provides the opportunity to contribute to the final stages of development of Programme. This will increase the likelihood that it will continue to provide suitable opportunities to access European networks, new markets and funding; increasing both scientific and business reputation and improving Scotland’s ability to attract and retain world class talent.
